Bare-chested muscular models seem to be desired for so many of these romance covers. However, the main ingredient is the emotion expressed; compassion, desire and caring, which is present in this painting. On the original painting there is more background of water lilies, muted trees and a stone manner house adding to the atmosphere as a compliment to the couple.
