I was asked to paint a cover of a beautiful, willful woman escaping through a forest at night to save her newborn child. She is the heiress of an 18th-century infamous estate that she is destined to rule. In this painting I tried to capture the mystery and intrigue of the book. I painted it as an inside cover, but the proof looks like it was printed as a sliver of the front or possibly a setback.
